Recognition*Ware : A Free Utility for Sysops of Shotgun BBS System (c)
produced to recognize Gunn Data System's and Brent Shellenberg's unique
Bulletin Board System.

** PACKING LIST **
FILE_ID.DIZ (Short Description)
SUE.DOC (This File)
SUE.EXE (Executable Program)
** REQUIREMENTS **
1. Shotgun version 1.35 or greater.
2. Any DOS or Windows based operating system.
3. That's it folks.
** INSTALLATION **
1. Copy the SUE.EXE file to ANY directory on the SAME DRIVE that Shotgun's
home directory resides on.
2. That's it folks.
** OPERATION **
Simply run the SUE.EXE executable from its own directory. The ASCII file
it creates will land in the directory from where you started the program.
This program is not crippled in any way, has no nags and no pauses. It was
written so that I could get a better handle on my users on my system as far
as multiple accounts for the same user, or mutliple accounts from the same
household. Other uses can quickly be thought up. In recognition of Brent
Shellenberg's outstanding efforts on this system, I've decided to release
the program for general use by any Shotgun Sysop. Obviously this type of
program would have no use to other BBS systems <g>.
When SUE.EXE is run, the first screen you come to is the Field Selection
screen. It is here that the bulk of the work is done. Simply enter the
number of the field you want included into the ASCII file. When you have
toggled all the fields you want to include enter the value '00' (That's
ZEROs folks) to process the request. The final prompt (besides the
selection menu this is the only other one) is for the Filename to save
the ASCII file as. Any legitimate DOS filename will work, with or without
the extension. The ASCII file created consists of:
First line: Comma Delimited 'Headers' for Field Titles.
Following Lines: Each record's fields appropriately placed.
That's about it folks. If you need help with your database program then
maybe you shouldn't use this utility <g>..
Enjoy!
** SUPPORT **
I will 'generally' answer any questions, or entertain any suggestions
submitted via either Network or E-Mail listed above. Comments always
welcomed.
** ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS **
